Edit screen menu bar

File menu

  • Open, Save, Print, Print Setup and Exit perform as in any other Windows application. Open is used for opening script files only.

  • New Game Title permits a new game name to be added. Besides a game name, the dialog for this asks for a path to the game program.

  • New Script creates a new (blank) script file for recording game actions.

  • Import Script allows you to import (copy) an existing script file (shared by a friend, from a web site or some other source).

  • Open an existing script file for viewing or editing.

  • Delete removes a script or game from the listing in the opening and edit windows. If you remove a game name from the list, the script names also will be deleted.

View menu

  • Show or hide Keystrokes toggle. Switches between display of the keystroke assignments and display of the game action labels.

  • Show or hide Action List toggle. Calls up or hides the Game Action List window.

  • Show or hide Virtual Keyboard toggle. The Virtual Keyboard allows you to enter keystrokes by selecting keys from an on-screen keyboard.

Options menu

  • Make Script Active makes the currently selected script under a game the active script. A check-mark will appear next to the script name in the games list. If the game had been made inactive using Make Game Inactive, the game also is automatically made active.

  • Make Game Inactive disables the scripts under that game name (none of the game's scripts are used when the game is run). None of a game's scripts will have a check-mark if the game has been made inactive. Use Make Script Active on a game script to reactivate the game.

  • Settings calls up a dialog for selecting which editing options are displayed when the editing screen appears. The options include the Action List, displaying Keystrokes or action labels, and the Virtual Keyboard.

Help menu

  • Help Topics calls up the on-line manual. About calls up some general information on the ThrustMapper.
